Work Hours RESORTS Housekeeping 8:00am - 4:30pm
The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for the entire scope and operation of the Housekeeping Department under the guidance of the Director of Housekeeping.
Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
The Housekeeping Inspector must maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and maintain positive guest relations at all times. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Must have complete knowledge at all times of:
reporting discrepant rooms; prioritize and update status of check-out units. Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift. Inspect rooms cleaned by assigned Room Attendants, using designated checklist. Directly contact Room Attendant and relay any deficiencies to be corrected. Update room status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with departmental standards. Counsel Room Attendants on any discrepancies. Conduct training of staff as assigned and or as requested. Provide feedback on staff performance to manager. Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of employees. Document pertinent information in department log book. Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor.
Assist in other areas of Housekeeping as assigned, attend designated meetings and must have some computer knowledge.
Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Must be able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform job duties. Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for up to 8-hours in length. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, both indoor and outdoor settings. Must be able to work flexible work schedule, including weekends, holidays, evening shifts as needed.
Previous hotel or time share housekeeping experience strongly desired
High School Graduate or GED equivalent
Knowledge of proper chemical handling. Must have good understanding of the English language. Good written and verbal communication skills. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, prioritize and organize. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Follow directions thoroughly. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Work with minimal supervision. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent resort data.
Requirements At least one year Housekeeping Experience as a Housekeeper, or two years experience in the Hospitality field
asic knowledge of computer systems.

must be able to write and speak English
Must be available nights weekends and holidays
