Description The purpose of the Guest Services Associate is to provide courteous and efficient guest services and to create positive and memorable vacation experiences for our owners/guests. The Guest Services Associate is responsible for communicating courteously and efficiently with other departments to ensure a seamless and satisfactory response to guest requests.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
Complete all items on the daily shift check list.
Check Guests in/out in the most efficient and courteous manner.
Collect balances and post appropriate room charges.
Answer and transfer calls from the switchboard using proper telephone etiquette.
Answer guest questions about local restaurants and attractions.
Give accurate directions within the resort and to local restaurants and attractions.
Place courtesy calls and follow up calls to all guests’ issues.
Coordinate with all other departments to ensure a seamless and satisfactory response to guest’s requests.
Run beginning and end of shift reports.
Open and close out credit card machines and cashier audit reports.
Balance cash drawer in accordance to bank and cash handling policy.
Process advance deposits when making reservations.
Assist owners and guests with reservations in the most courteous and efficient manner.
Make room moves and stay over requests for guests as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
Run reports and correct errors prior to guest check in.
Perform any other inventory management changes as directed by a supervisor or manager.
Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 Year Customer Service, Hospitality experience preferred.
Must be PC proficient. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to interact with a wide range of people. Must be able to learn and adapt to a fast paced and continuously changing environment. Must be able to work all shifts/hours.
