Title Construction & Development -Project Manager - FF&E Procurement
Position Type Full Time
Work Hours GENERAL - M-F 9:00a-6:00p
Description The Project Manager is a hands-on, front line position that not only provides project support to the team but also functions as a point of contact for matters relating to procurement of the FF&E portion of the project. The Project Manager solicits input from other Bluegreen internal departments such as Operations and Safety and makes certain that their requirements are incorporated into projects. The Project Manager communicates the goals and milestones for procurement, delivery and installation FF&E to all project participants and implements a discipline and sound approach to procurement.
~Work closely with Project Director and designers to comply with FF&E project budgets and project forecasts.
~With an understanding of local market factors, Project Manager participates in the decision regarding approach to
project delivery, i.e. competitive bid, purchasing agent or cost fee/open book approach. The Project Manager
prepares the appropriate bid documents, bid submission, supports the procurement process and evaluates bid
~Prepare cost variance reports. Prepare value engineering menus and/or scope reduction options for evaluation
by Project Director, designers and internal clients in order to mitigate cost variances.
~Review project schedules with internal clients to make certain that their business displacement requirements are
incorporated and that turnover dates are met.
~Monitor PA’s schedules and coordinate with project schedules, participate in weekly project calls with PA’s to
review project status. Review FF&E shop drawings and submittals and compare those.
~Develop project delivery sequences and work closely with internal and external resources including building
contractors to develop ways to improve site management and project efficiency.
~Attending departmental conferences.
~Attend project installs as required.
~Maintain excellent, effective relationships with architects, engineers, and as applicable, regulatory agencies.
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred, or equivalent
5 years of experience in Procurement in the Hospitality industry, particularly in
Essential Training, Knowledge, Licenses and /or Certifications:
Autocad, Photoshop, Microsoft Office and related computer programs.
excellent analytical and presentation skills in order to assist C&D Department
and Director of FF&E.
