Business Analyst, Global Sales Systems
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Corporate Information Systems and Technology Department. The Business Analyst’s role is to provide first line support to the Sales Business Unit, encompassing roles in new project delivery, as well as day to day platform management and end user support. The main responsibility is to understand and translate the business requirements in order to ensure that the corresponding technical solution meets the expected results. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements for development teams throughout the software lifecycle. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development or deployment process and to ensure that project deliverable are met according to specifications.
College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
2 to 5 years of related IT and analytical experience in the areas of system administration, database, reporting, business & customer Intelligence.
Strategy & Planning
? Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
? Lead and conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
? Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, risks, outcome criteria, and metrics.
? Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
? Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
Acquisition & Deployment
? Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.
? Participate in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized.
? Participate in the selection of any requirements documentation software solutions that the organization may opt to use.
? Collaborate with the Test Lead in defining the testing scope, and participate in System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
? Collaborate with training activities.
? Ensure all project related, admin guides, and user guides are properly documented and communicated.
Operational Management
? Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
? Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications.
? Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
? Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
? Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
