Efficient, meticulous and hard-working, housekeepers maintain the backbone of the hotel business, which is service. Housekeeping is a service that can define a guest’s stay and drastically affect the reputation of a hotel. Such a responsible role requires a certain kind of person, as detailed below.
Duties May Include:
Organize room schedule based on status eg. arrivals, departures etc.
General cleaning of corridors, elevators and guest rooms.
Distribute clean towels and restock room supplies using wheeled cart
Replace dirty linens and remake beds
Inspect and turn mattresses regularly
Sort guest’s laundry in line with company policy
Check appliances and report any damage of hotel property
Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
Duties may vary dependant on the hotel policies and capacity but many of the outlined tasks will be conducted in daily shifts.

Dealing with a variety of behaviour from hotel guests
Turnover time fluctuating depending on the capacity of hotel

Experience in the hospitality / cleaning industry
Ability to work well as part of a team
High energy levels with good mobility
Works with honesty and integrity
Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
Experience operating cleaning equipment
Able to lift approximately 30lbs (varies dependant on hotel policies)
